Jenny Kemp

Jenny describes her work as, "taking inspiration from the idea of the line as metaphor for both a continuum and boundary, I explore a visual language consisting of the patterning of linear forms to generate a sense of movement within contained structures. Through the process of assembly, accumulation, and tonal gradations, elements wind and weave while tensions are investigated between painterly precision and free-hand sensibilities.  Although abstract in nature, parallels are drawn from referential sources such as figurative and botanical formations as well as histories in art in order to evoke symbolic thought".

Jenny lives and works in Troy, NY
