Zohar Lazar

Zohar was born in Israel and grew up in New York City. He studied figure drawing at The Art Student's League throughout high school and later attended Parsons School of Design, majoring in illustration. He has been illustrating professionally since 1997, with work appearing in The New Yorker, The New York Times, GQ and Rolling Stone. Zohar taught at School of Visual Arts in the illustration department from 2006 to 2009. His work has been exhibited in several New York galleries and he recently had a one person show at The Hillman Jackson Gallery at the Daniel Arts Center on the campus of Simon’s Rock. Lazar’s showcase of drawings and paintings, entitled “Oh! Sweet Nuthin’”, ran from September 4th - October 30, 2023.

Zohar lives and works in the Berkshires.
