Ellen Kaiden

Ellen Kaiden’s watercolor paintings are larger than life, “spontaneous and uncontrollable”. The artist works in a technique called “Wet on Wet” in which layer by layer of paint is applied so little by little a sense of “depth and mystery” is achieved. Kaiden believes that watercolor is an underrated and complex medium and it is her form of meditation. Her paintings reflect her never ending awe and interest in nature and the miracles that surround us every day.
