Betsy Friedman
Betsy Friedman’s recent works on paper include a range of projects from mixed-media collages, to psychedelic pattern paintings, all of which are optically charged, and bursting with energy. These works reference a range of inspirations, from the Pattern and Decoration movement of the 1970’s to Pop Art, Post-Pop, and the freewheeling abstractionist movement of today. Working at her studio, or her annual residency in Oaxaca, Mexico, she channels creative spirit into pulsating and evocative artworks that have remarkable resonance.
Betsy lives and works in Upstate NY.
